Dodging a Burrowstrike with Astral Imprisonment is the entire game for Outworld Destroyer here. If timed correctly, the imprisonment wastes Sand King’s initiation and leaves him vulnerable to being kited and killed by Arcane Orb. A missed Burrowstrike often means a dead Sand King. The reverse is equally true, however. If Sand King lands his stun from out of vision, Outworld Destroyer is too fragile to survive the follow-up Epicenter and team focus. There's no real escape once he's caught, so the interaction hinges on a single moment.

This dynamic defines how teamfights play out. Outworld Destroyer has to position extremely cautiously, using his team as a buffer while waiting for the initiation. Sand King's goal is to find an angle with a Blink Dagger to get on top of OD before he can react. The fight often comes down to which player has better vision and faster reflexes. Since either hero can punish the other depending on who gets the jump, their head-to-head encounters tend to feel volatile and unpredictable from moment to moment.
