Outworld Destroyer vs Techies

How this matchup plays

Fighting into a team with Techies is a nightmare for Outworld Destroyer. OD is completely dependent on casting his spells, and a single `Blast Off!` provides a long-duration silence that can leave him totally useless in a fight. Even outside of direct confrontation, OD wants to control fights with careful positioning, often with a Blink Dagger. Techies denies this by littering the map with Proximity Mines, making it incredibly dangerous for OD to farm, rotate, or jump on a target. He’s forced to play with constant fear of being silenced or blown up from anywhere.

This pressure starts early, with Techies able to bully Outworld Destroyer out of lane using `Sticky Bomb` spam. As the game progresses, OD's team is forced to spend a fortune on detection to create any safe space on the map. While OD can use `Astral Imprisonment` to save an ally from a mine stack, it’s a purely reactive move. He is always responding to the traps Techies has already set. Techies dictates where and when fights can happen, and OD often has no good way to participate.
