Outworld Destroyer vs Tidehunter

How this matchup plays

Trying to burst down a Tidehunter is often a waste of time. His natural tankiness from Kraken Shell means he can shrug off a lot of damage and debuffs that would cripple other heroes. Outworld Destroyer typically melts single targets, but Tidehunter's raw health pool can be too much to chew through before help arrives. The entire fight often hinges on a single moment: whether Astral Imprisonment can successfully dodge Ravage. If it does, OD's team gets to fight. If it doesn't, the fight is likely already lost.

This creates a standoff where both heroes are trying to play around each other's biggest spell. Tidehunter will look for an opening to blink in and catch Outworld Destroyer before he can react. OD, on the other hand, has to position cautiously, staying on the edge of the fight to be ready to use Astral defensively. Neither hero feels particularly threatened by the other in a direct one-on-one, so success comes down to which team better enables their hero to land their critical spell while denying the other's.
