Outworld Destroyer vs Undying

How this matchup plays

Struggling to farm in lane is the start of Outworld Destroyer's problems here. Undying’s Decay directly attacks his low strength pool, making him incredibly fragile from the first few minutes. Each cast makes it easier to secure a kill, forcing OD to play passively. If a Tombstone comes down, Outworld Destroyer has no good way to clear the zombies quickly. He has to waste his single-target attacks on them or get swarmed and slowed, while Undying can keep applying pressure and healing himself with Soul Rip off the extra bodies. It's a constant battle for survival that OD is not equipped to win on his own.

This early pressure cripples Outworld Destroyer's game. He needs farm and levels to be a threat, but Undying denies him both. Later on, even a farmed OD struggles. His ultimate, Sanity's Eclipse, is based on a mana difference that is less effective against a high-health strength hero. During teamfights, Undying becomes a massive damage-soaking and amplifying presence in Flesh Golem form. He can simply walk past the frontline to threaten OD, who lacks the mobility to easily escape the constant slows and pressure.
