Outworld Destroyer vs Warlock

How this matchup plays

The threat of Chaotic Offering directly undermines what Outworld Destroyer wants to do in a teamfight. OD’s plan is to delete a single hero with Sanity’s Eclipse, but Warlock’s golem creates a massive, high-health body that soaks that ultimate. Fatal Bonds also complicates things, spreading OD's single-target damage from Arcane Orb across the whole enemy team. Warlock effectively muddies the waters against a hero who thrives on clean, isolated kills.

This matchup often comes down to who acts first. If Outworld Destroyer can find and burst Warlock before that ultimate comes out, the fight is won. OD can also use Astral Imprisonment to save a core from the initial golem stun, completely negating Warlock's initiation and buying time to reposition. Because both heroes have clear ways to ruin the other's plan, fights depend less on the heroes themselves and more on who has better vision and positioning before the spells start flying.
