Ogre Magi vs Puck

How this matchup plays

Controlling the map against a Puck usually means having lockdown that they can't dodge. Ogre Magi provides exactly that. Puck is built around avoiding spells with Phase Shift, but Fireblast is an instant stun that gives no time to react. It’s a guaranteed catch. Ogre is also tough enough to absorb Puck’s initial damage, walk right up to them, and apply Ignite to make sure they can't get away easily. It's a direct and simple answer to a hero that relies on being tricky.

This dynamic forces the Puck to play an extremely passive game. They can't safely split-push lanes or farm aggressively, because Ogre Magi can show up and provide the easiest gank setup for his team. In teamfights, Puck can't initiate freely with Dream Coil, knowing that Ogre is waiting to turn and stun them immediately. Puck is forced to wait for Ogre to use his spells on someone else, or play from the absolute maximum range, which severely limits their impact on the fight.
