Getting drawn into Ringmaster's main crowd control is a bad spot for most heroes, but Ogre Magi is often durable enough to take it. With his high base health and armor, he can frequently survive being pulled into a trap and immediately fight back. Fireblast is a simple, reliable stun that lets him interrupt Ringmaster or punish whoever was meant to follow up on the setup. Ringmaster’s game plan relies on controlling a position to guarantee a kill, but Ogre’s inherent tankiness makes him an unreliable target for that kind of combo, which can throw off the whole sequence.

This dynamic means Ogre Magi can often afford to play a bit further forward than other supports. He provides a solid front line for his cores, forcing Ringmaster to either waste spells on him or try to find a tricky angle onto a backliner. If an ally does get caught, Ogre is a decent bodyguard; he can apply Bloodlust to help them escape or simply walk in and cause chaos without getting blown up himself. The advantage isn't huge, as Ringmaster can still find great success by catching Ogre's teammates out of position, but Ogre himself is a frustrating target to deal with.
