Omniknight vs Wraith King

How this matchup plays

Using Guardian Angel to counter Wraith King seems like a good idea on paper, but it falls apart in practice. Wraith King is more than happy to die once under the physical immunity effect, because he knows he'll just come back with Reincarnation after it expires. Omniknight's ultimate has a massive cooldown, so trading it for Wraith King's first life is a losing proposition every single time. The constant pressure from skeletons spawned by Mortal Strike also helps wear down targets and buildings, often outlasting the immunity's duration and leaving Omniknight's team vulnerable.

Mid-game teamfights become incredibly awkward. Omniknight is forced into a no-win decision: either use his ultimate early to save someone and have nothing for Wraith King's second life, or hold it and watch his team get beaten down. A smart Wraith King player will simply walk at the enemy team, forcing the spell out before committing fully. The only way for Omniknight to succeed is for his team to have enough magic or pure damage to burst Wraith King down twice, and even then, he has to perfectly time his dispels and reposition his team between fights.
