Omniknight vs Slark

How this matchup plays

Controlling Slark's aggression often hinges on having an answer to his Pounce. Omniknight provides exactly that with Heavenly Grace, which can instantly dispel the leash and ruin Slark's attempt to isolate a target. This forces Slark to either commit with his team or back off, unable to build up Essence Shift stacks. A successful save from Heavenly Grace or a well-timed Purification heal can completely swing a gank attempt. While Slark can purge some effects with Dark Pact, it does little against Omniknight’s purely defensive buffs. Guardian Angel is the final problem, making Slark's physical damage useless for its duration.

The matchup becomes a game of cooldowns and positioning. A smart Slark will try to bait out Heavenly Grace before committing, or he'll simply hunt a different target that Omniknight can't reach in time. If Omniknight is caught out of position, he becomes a prime target himself. Later in the game, Slark may look for item-based answers to the saves, but Omniknight's presence will always force him to second-guess his engagements. The fight is decided by who plays their hand first and who has the better read on the map.
