Pangolier vs Puck

How this matchup plays

Trying to lock down a good Puck is always a pain, and Pangolier finds this out quickly. While Rolling Thunder looks like a perfect tool for catching Puck, the reality is that Phase Shift allows Puck to dodge the initial impact and often reposition before the next stun connects. On the other side, Puck’s Waning Rift is a great silence for stopping Pangolier's spell combos, but Pango is usually durable enough with Shield Crash to survive the burst. Lucky Shot’s disarm can be annoying for Puck, but the core of the interaction is about dodging the other’s biggest spells.

The matchup often comes down to which hero can force the other to use their defensive cooldowns first. Pangolier wants to initiate fights in a way that makes Puck use Phase Shift early, leaving him vulnerable to follow-up from Pango’s team. Puck plays a patient game, waiting for Pangolier to commit to a Swashbuckle or start his roll. A well-timed Dream Coil can then catch Pangolier out of position and unable to escape. Both heroes are so slippery that they often end up focusing on easier targets rather than directly confronting each other.
