Pangolier vs Undying

How this matchup plays

Controlling the lane against Undying can be a huge headache for Pangolier, often slowing down his item progression. The constant strength drain from Decay makes him fragile and vulnerable to ganks. Even though Swashbuckle lets Pangolier reposition, it doesn't solve the problem of a well-placed Tombstone. The zombies that spawn will relentlessly chase and apply a constant slow, hampering his ability to escape or re-engage effectively. Having so many extra units on the screen also makes it harder for Pangolier to isolate and hit priority targets with his spells, diluting his impact in early skirmishes.

This pressure often forces Pangolier into a more defensive posture early, focusing on survival over aggression until he can get levels in his passive and ultimate. In mid-game teamfights, Pangolier can use Rolling Thunder to bypass the zombie horde and disrupt Undying's backline. However, Undying's team will play around the Tombstone, using the area denial and the powerful Soul Rip heals it enables. The matchup often hinges on whether Pangolier can find his farm and survive the laning phase to become a playmaker before Undying establishes too much map control.
