Phoenix vs Tiny

How this matchup plays

Trying to burst down Phoenix with Avalanche and Toss is a trap. Even if Tiny lands the initial stun, Phoenix can often escape the follow-up damage with Icarus Dive. The bigger issue is Supernova. Tiny has high physical damage but very slow attack speed, making it nearly impossible for him to destroy the egg on his own. Committing to kill Phoenix often means Tiny and his team get caught in a fight-resetting stun when the egg hatches, completely turning the initiation around. It's a classic case of a hero's main combo being directly dismantled by the target's defensive abilities.

This dynamic shapes the entire game. In teamfights, Tiny is effectively zoned out. He can't initiate on Phoenix, and if he goes on anyone else, a well-placed Supernova will force his team to disengage or lose the fight. Meanwhile, Phoenix can safely burn down Tiny's team from the back line with Sun Ray, knowing Tiny has no good way to close the distance and finish the kill. Tiny's only real option is to try to find isolated pick-offs on other heroes, avoiding a direct confrontation with Phoenix until key abilities are on cooldown.
