Puck vs Wraith King

How this matchup plays

Trying to burst down Wraith King as Puck feels like a total waste of resources. Puck's entire combo, including Dream Coil, is designed for a single, decisive takedown. Wraith King's Reincarnation completely invalidates this approach by giving him a second life. You blow all your spells and mana to kill him, and he stands right back up, ready to fight. Meanwhile, Wraith King’s simple point-and-click stun, Wraithfire Blast, is reliable lockdown that can be very difficult for Puck to dodge if caught even slightly out of position, often leading to a quick death.

This dynamic makes the mid-game especially difficult for Puck. Ganking Wraith King is pointless, so Puck is forced to find other targets, but WK is often leading the charge for his own team. In a teamfight, if Puck uses Dream Coil on Wraith King, the spell is effectively wasted. This forces Puck to play a very reactive, cleanup-focused game. The pressure is entirely on the Puck player to perfectly dodge stuns with Phase Shift and find kills on fragile backline heroes, while the Wraith King can confidently walk forward, knowing Puck can’t truly threaten him.
