Puck vs Slark

How this matchup plays

Trying to lock down Slark can be a frustrating experience for Puck. Slark's Dark Pact provides a timely dispel, which is often all he needs to escape Puck's combo. He can purge the silence from Waning Rift, letting him use Pounce to get away before the full burst lands. This same dispel also allows Slark to walk out of Dream Coil without getting stunned, severely weakening Puck's signature lockdown tool. Puck's entire kit revolves around control and magic burst, and Slark has a direct, low-cooldown answer to the control half of that equation.

This dynamic means Puck often has to ignore Slark in fights and ganks, looking for softer targets instead. It frees Slark up to farm more aggressively and split the map, knowing Puck can't reliably punish him alone. The matchup isn't one-sided, though. Puck can still dominate the early laning phase before Slark gets his key levels and items. A well-timed gank from Puck's supports can still catch Slark, especially if they can bait out Dark Pact first. It comes down to Puck trying to snowball before Slark's built-in escape becomes too reliable.
