Puck vs Spirit Breaker

How this matchup plays

Playing against a Spirit Breaker feels like there's nowhere safe on the map. Puck's entire identity revolves around being elusive with Illusory Orb and Phase Shift, but Spirit Breaker's kit is almost purpose-built to shut that down. Charge of Darkness provides vision and a targeted stun that's difficult to juke without exceptional timing and vision. Even if Puck manages to Phase Shift the initial impact, Spirit Breaker is now in melee range, ready to chain stuns with Greater Bash and finish the job with a Nether Strike. The lockdown is simply too persistent for Puck’s short defensive windows.

This dynamic forces Puck to play reactively from the mid-game onward. Aggressive farming and split-pushing become incredibly risky, as a Charge can come from any direction. In teamfights, Spirit Breaker will almost always make Puck the primary target, forcing out Dream Coil and other defensive spells early. Puck’s main recourse is building items like Linken's Sphere or Eul's Scepter, but this delays their damage progression and can be easily countered by Spirit Breaker’s teammates or by baiting the spell, leaving Puck vulnerable once again.
