Puck vs Techies

How this matchup plays

Thinking Puck can dodge everything with Phase Shift might seem right on paper, but Techies' kit punishes that exact assumption. The problem is that Puck is built to evade single abilities, while Techies controls entire areas. Phase Shift won't save you from a field of Proximity Mines you've already jumped into. Worse, Techies' Blast Off! provides a huge area-of-effect silence. If that silence lands on Puck mid-combo, all escape options like Illusory Orb and Phase Shift are gone, leaving a very fragile hero stranded and helpless.

Across the game, this forces Puck to play with extreme hesitation. The usual aggressive movements to control runes or initiate ganks become a massive risk. Pushing high ground or fighting around Roshan is a nightmare because Techies will always have traps prepared. Puck's whole game is about creating chaos and being slippery, but Techies turns the map into a minefield that completely shuts that plan down. Puck has to wait for the team to slowly clear a path, while Techies dictates the pace of the game by controlling where it's safe to even exist.
