Puck vs Vengeful Spirit

How this matchup plays

Trying to burst a target as Puck is incredibly risky against a Vengeful Spirit. The threat of a fast Magic Missile forces Puck to hold Phase Shift for a potential dodge, leaving them vulnerable to other lockdown. Even if Puck successfully dodges the stun, the real problem is Nether Swap. All of Puck's mobility and escape plans revolve around using Illusory Orb to get out of danger. Vengeful Spirit completely bypasses this with an instant, targeted swap, pulling Puck right back into the fight to be killed. It fundamentally breaks the in-and-out rhythm that Puck relies on to survive.

This dynamic makes Puck’s game miserable from start to finish. In lane, a Vengeful Spirit rotation is often a guaranteed kill. In the mid-game, Puck can't initiate safely. A good Dream Coil can be ruined when Venge swaps the primary target out, or swaps Puck into a lethal position that forces the coil to break. Puck is forced to play passively and wait for Venge to use her cooldowns first, which often means the ideal moment to strike has already passed. Vengeful Spirit simply has too many direct, reliable tools to punish Puck's every move.
