Puck vs Weaver

How this matchup plays

Getting caught out as Weaver is extra punishing against a Puck. Weaver relies on Shukuchi for mobility and Time Lapse to undo mistakes, but Puck has the perfect tools to shut that down. An instant area-of-effect silence from Waning Rift prevents Time Lapse, and Dream Coil makes it impossible for Weaver to simply run away. Trying to Shukuchi out of the coil results in a long stun, which is usually a death sentence for a fragile hero. Puck can apply all this control from a safe distance, using Illusory Orb to get into position for the combo.

This dynamic forces Weaver to play cautiously. Puck will often hunt for kills around the map as soon as the core items are online, and Weaver is a prime target. The Weaver player has to adjust their build, often needing an early defensive item like a Linken's Sphere to block Dream Coil, which can slow down damage progression. In teamfights, Weaver's job is to wait for Puck to commit those key spells on someone else. If Puck misuses the silence or coil, Weaver is free to clean up the fight.
