Pudge vs Clockwerk

How this matchup plays

Trying to lock someone down with Dismember is a problem for Pudge when Clockwerk is around. Battery Assault provides constant mini-stuns that will almost always interrupt the channel, forcing Pudge to rely on his hook and Rot. On the other hand, Clockwerk has a hard time initiating on Pudge directly. Thanks to Flesh Heap, Pudge gets incredibly tanky and doesn't mind being trapped in Power Cogs with Rot active. He can often turn the fight and kill Clockwerk, who prefers to isolate targets that can't easily fight back.

This dynamic creates a standoff where both heroes often prefer to target each other's allies. Clockwerk will look for pickoffs on squishy supports with Hookshot, hoping to burst them before Pudge can save them with a counter-hook. Pudge plays a similar game, looking for hooks from the fog of war to start a fight on his team's terms. The game often comes down to which of these initiators finds a better opening for their lineup, rather than a direct confrontation between them.
