Pudge vs Tiny

How this matchup plays

Trying to delete an enemy with your full combo only for them to walk away with most of their health is a terrible feeling. This is what Tiny often faces against Pudge. Tiny’s damage from Avalanche and Toss is almost entirely magical, which runs straight into the high magic resistance Pudge gets from Flesh Heap stacks. Pudge doesn't even need many items to survive the burst. Meanwhile, Tiny is a big, slow-moving hero, making him a very easy target for Meat Hook. If a hook lands, Dismember is a long disable that completely ignores the status resistance from Tiny's Grow.

As the game develops, Pudge becomes a walking fortress that Tiny can't realistically kill alone. Tiny is forced to change his game plan, trying to find pickoffs on supports away from Pudge's protection. This is risky, because if Pudge is anywhere nearby, he can turn the fight around easily. Pudge’s Rot is also a constant threat, as its area of effect can prevent Tiny from using his Blink Dagger to initiate or escape. Pudge can play aggressively, knowing his kit directly counters Tiny's, while Tiny has to play around the constant threat of getting hooked and disabled.
