Queen of Pain vs Wraith King

How this matchup plays

Committing a full Sonic Wave combo to kill Wraith King is usually a mistake. His Reincarnation means he gets right back up to fight, but Queen of Pain is left with all her abilities on cooldown. She invests her entire burst potential into taking one of his lives, leaving her exposed and out of mana when he revives. The heavy slow from Reincarnation also makes it difficult for her to Blink away safely after he comes back, often turning what looked like a successful pickoff into a death sentence for her.

This dynamic forces Queen of Pain to play around Wraith King for the entire game. She can't lead the charge by blowing up the enemy frontliner, which is normally her strength. Instead, she has to wait for her team to deal with his first life or try to navigate around him to find a squishier target. Wraith King can leverage this, confidently walking at her team and zoning her out of fights, knowing her most powerful spells are inefficient against him and that she is reluctant to engage until he's already used his ultimate.
