Queen of Pain vs Ursa

How this matchup plays

Picking one of these heroes into the other creates a real cat-and-mouse game. Queen of Pain has the ideal escape tool in Blink, letting her keep Ursa at a distance and wear him down with slows and Scream of Pain. Ursa, however, only needs to close the gap once to overwhelm her with Overpower. His Enrage also lets him absorb her magical burst, making it difficult for Queen of Pain to finish him off even if she gets the initial jump. This forces a standoff where neither hero has a clear path to victory.

The early lane can be playable for Queen of Pain, but the matchup is really decided in the mid-game once Ursa gets his own Blink Dagger. From that point on, it’s all about who sees who first. If Ursa initiates from the fog with an Earthshock, he can often secure the kill before her Blink is usable. If Queen of Pain anticipates the jump or has good vision, she can easily escape and turn the fight, leaving him out of position. It really comes down to which player better manages their key cooldowns and plays the map with more awareness.
