Deciding to pick Queen of Pain into Weaver often comes down to your confidence in bursting him down instantly. On paper, Queen of Pain has the tools for the job: Scream of Pain and Sonic Wave provide a massive amount of magical damage very quickly. The problem is Weaver’s kit is designed to survive exactly that kind of aggression. Shukuchi makes him a slippery target to initiate on, and a well-timed Time Lapse can completely negate a full combo, leaving QoP with nothing left to fight with. This creates a tense dynamic where both heroes can feel like the predator.

During the laning stage, QoP can often establish dominance through superior wave clear and harassment. As the game develops, however, the matchup becomes a matter of execution and itemization. If Queen of Pain can secure a silence or a disable to prevent Time Lapse, she can reliably kill Weaver. But if Weaver manages to survive her initial burst, he can easily turn the fight. His sustained physical damage, especially against a target with reduced armor from The Swarm, can quickly overwhelm a QoP whose Blink is on cooldown.
