Clockwerk vs Snapfire

How this matchup plays

Drafting a melee initiator into a Snapfire lineup can be a risky choice. The main issue for Clockwerk is that Snapfire's Firesnap Cookie is an almost perfect answer to his primary initiation combo. If Clockwerk successfully lands a Hookshot and traps a target in Power Cogs, Snapfire can simply cast her Cookie on that ally, forcing them over the cog barrier to safety. This leaves Clockwerk alone and vulnerable inside his own trap, turning what should be a successful pick-off into a potentially disastrous overextension.

This interaction shapes how teamfights play out. The Clockwerk player is forced to be more deliberate, often needing to target Snapfire herself to prevent the save, or waiting to see if she uses the Cookie for another purpose. Snapfire, in turn, wants to position defensively, holding her spell to react to Clockwerk's aggression. Her Mortimer Kisses ultimate also creates a large, dangerous area that makes it difficult for a committed Clockwerk to stay on his target without taking heavy damage. The matchup isn't impossible, but Snapfire's kit directly complicates Clockwerk's game plan.
