Riki vs Snapfire

How this matchup plays

Trying to channel Mortimer Kisses is a death sentence against a Riki. He can easily close the distance with Blink Strike while invisible and interrupt the spell. The real problem for Snapfire, however, is Smoke Screen. Once she's silenced inside that cloud, she can't use Firesnap Cookie to create space or Scatterblast to defend herself. The miss chance also makes it hard to fight back with attacks, even with Lil' Shredder active. Riki simply has all the tools needed to isolate and burst down a slow, spell-reliant hero.

This dynamic forces Snapfire to play defensively all game. She can't risk being alone, so her ability to place deep wards or farm aggressively is severely limited. A support Snapfire will be spending a lot of gold on detection, and a core will have to prioritize a Force Staff. Riki doesn't have to get a kill every time he shows up; the constant threat of him jumping from invisibility is enough to stifle Snapfire’s impact and force her into a reactive, less effective playstyle.
