Riki vs Techies

How this matchup plays

Deciding whether to pick one of these heroes into the other is a real gamble, because each one is the perfect answer to the other's plan. Riki wants to roam unseen and burst down a single target, but Techies makes roaming incredibly dangerous. Walking into a Stasis Trap or Proximity Mine is a death sentence for a fragile hero trying to sneak around. Conversely, Techies is a slow hero who needs time to place his defenses. A successful hunt from Riki can kill Techies before those defenses are ever established, neutralizing the threat entirely.

The game becomes a battle over information and detection. Riki has to guess where the mines are, and his team needs to provide sentries to clear safe paths. Techies needs his own vision to see Riki coming and react in time. It often comes down to who makes the first move. If Riki can get the jump on Techies, he wins that fight. If Techies can lure an overeager Riki into a well-placed Remote Mine stack, the advantage flips completely.
