Riki vs Undying

How this matchup plays

Keeping vision and map control becomes difficult for Undying's team. Riki excels at finding and isolating supports, and Undying is often a prime target. The core problem is Riki's Smoke Screen, which silences Undying and prevents him from casting Decay or dropping a crucial Tombstone. Without his spells, Undying can't create chaos or sustain himself, leaving him vulnerable. Blink Strike means there's little chance for Undying to react before he's already silenced and being attacked.

This forces Undying to play much more defensively through the mid-game, spending his resources on Sentry Wards instead of items. A successful gank on Undying by Riki often neuters a team's ability to fight or take objectives. Undying’s best bet is to stay grouped with his cores and use his Tombstone pre-emptively if he anticipates a gank. The goal is to create enough of a mess with zombies that his allies have time to turn and save him, but it’s a reactive play that concedes the initiative to Riki.
