How this matchup plays

Jumping a target from invisibility is what Riki does best, but Vengeful Spirit has all the tools to spoil his attempts. Her reliable stun from Magic Missile can stop him cold before he finishes a target. Wave of Terror not only reduces armor but can give her team vision of him if it lands, turning the hunter into the hunted. If Riki tries to pick off one of her allies instead, Nether Swap instantly repositions everyone, ruining the gank and often forcing a messy trade that favors Venge's team.

This dynamic makes the game a constant chess match. During the laning stage, Vengeful Spirit can make Riki's life difficult with vision and harass. Later, Riki is forced to play carefully, as Venge will stick close to her cores to protect them. Fights often come down to a single moment: a perfectly placed Smoke Screen from Riki silencing key targets, or a clutch Nether Swap from Vengeful Spirit catching Riki out of position before he can act. The outcome depends entirely on who gets the drop on whom.
