Sand King vs Snapfire

How this matchup plays

Trying to channel a full Epicenter can be frustrating when a Snapfire is on the other team. She has easy ways to disrupt Sand King's big teamfight combo. A single Firesnap Cookie can either push him away during the channel or launch his primary target to safety, effectively wasting the spell. Even when Sand King uses Sand Storm for protection, the slow and damage from Mortimer's Kisses can force him to abandon his position. Her kit gives her multiple tools to answer his most important spells.

This dynamic means Sand King has to be much more careful with his initiations. Instead of a clean Blink-Burrowstrike-Epicenter, he often has to bait out the Cookie first or accept that his initial target will escape. The best-case scenario for him is catching Snapfire herself in the stun so she can't react. This forces Sand King to play a more patient, calculated game than he might want to, which gives Snapfire's team a slight but consistent edge in skirmishes and big fights.
