Head-to-head Dota 2 7.41f win rate from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Undying wins the Shadow Demon vs Undying matchup: Undying beats Shadow Demon in 56.89% of 11,713 ranked matches.
Fighting in the lane becomes a nightmare for Shadow Demon once a Tombstone is dropped. He has no way to clear the swarm of zombies, and his low health pool means he's an easy first target. His typical save, Disruption, is ineffective here; the zombies will simply wait for the target to reappear or switch to someone else. Creating illusions of Undying is also not very threatening, as they lack his key spells. Later in the game, Undying's whole game plan of causing chaos with Flesh Golem and the tombstone completely bypasses the kind of single-target control that Shadow Demon offers, leaving him mostly irrelevant in fights while his team gets overrun.
