Silencer vs Viper

How this matchup plays

Trying to bully an opponent out of lane with Poison Attack gets complicated when Silencer is around. Every spell Viper casts can be punished by Arcane Curse, stacking up damage for doing what he naturally wants to do. Last Word is also a constant threat, silencing Viper and preventing him from attacking if he tries to cast a spell at the wrong time. This interrupts his rhythm of applying corrosive slows and often forces him into a more passive laning phase, giving Silencer's lane partner an easier time.

The threat of Global Silence makes it risky for Viper to play aggressively across the map, as Silencer can turn a pickoff attempt into a death sentence. Viper’s build, however, often includes items that can dispel silences, like Manta Style or a Black King Bar. Once Viper has a dispel, he can largely ignore Silencer's spells and focus on his job of slowing key targets. Corrosive Skin also continues to punish anyone who attacks Viper, even while silenced, which helps him survive ganks. The matchup really hinges on whether Silencer and his team can exploit the windows before those defensive items come online.
