Silencer vs Warlock

How this matchup plays

Trying to drop a golem on the fight can be tricky against a prepared Silencer. Global Silence is the perfect counter-initiation tool to stop Warlock’s Chaotic Offering before it can land. Last Word also adds pressure, punishing Warlock for trying to get his spells off and making him a vulnerable target. This threat of being silenced forces Warlock to play more cautiously than he would like. A single misstep can mean his biggest spell is completely negated, leaving his team without their primary teamfight weapon.

However, the matchup is far from one-sided. If Chaotic Offering does come out, the resulting stun and massive golem are things Silencer's team struggles to handle. Warlock can also play around the silence by waiting for it to be used on an ally or by getting his spells off from a safe distance before committing. In the lane, they mostly trade harass without a clear winner. The game often comes down to a duel of awareness and positioning: Silencer trying to preempt the golem drop, and Warlock trying to find the perfect window to cast it.
