Wraith King vs Warlock

How this matchup plays

Trying to bring down a Wraith King feels like a trap. Warlock has the perfect tools for the job, linking skeletons with Fatal Bonds and dropping a Golem to stun and burn through that first life. The problem is what happens next. Once Reincarnation triggers, Wraith King is back in the fight with a huge slowing effect, but Warlock has already used Chaotic Offering. The fight effectively resets, but one side is missing its biggest teamfight spell, leaving Warlock exposed.

This dynamic creates a standoff around their major cooldowns. A smart Warlock will try to catch Wraith King, pop his first life, and then have his team immediately disengage, forcing Reincarnation to be wasted. The Wraith King player, however, wants to absorb the initial blast from Chaotic Offering, get back up, and then turn on the now-vulnerable Warlock. Success comes down to which team better executes their half of the plan and controls the fight after that first exchange.
