Skywrath Mage vs Tiny

How this matchup plays

Trying to jump Skywrath Mage often ends with Tiny getting blown up instead. Skywrath's instant silence from Ancient Seal completely stops the Avalanche-Toss combo before it can start. A silenced Tiny can't cast spells and is left standing there while also taking amplified magic damage. Since Tiny naturally builds a lot of strength and armor but rarely magic resistance, he's extremely vulnerable to Skywrath's full magical burst from Mystic Flare. The status resistance from Grow can shorten the silence, but it's often not enough to prevent the damage that decides the fight.

This dynamic forces Tiny to play cautiously for most of the game. He needs a Blink Dagger to initiate, but Skywrath can often react in time, especially with good vision. Tiny's best bet is to wait for Ancient Seal to be used on a different target or to get a perfect jump from the fog of war. Otherwise, he has to rely on teammates to control the Skywrath Mage first. Skywrath, on the other hand, can play aggressively, using his slow to kite and looking for any chance to punish Tiny whenever he's out of position.
