How this matchup plays

A charge from Spirit Breaker presents a constant threat to Snapfire, often forcing her to play safer and give up map control. This limits her ability to ward aggressively or farm exposed areas. However, Snapfire is uniquely equipped to turn his ganks around. A well-timed Firesnap Cookie can stun Spirit Breaker upon impact, completely negating his initiation. Even if he gets the stun off, she can use the Cookie to force him away and then punish him with a point-blank Scatterblast for heavy damage and a slow, making his escape difficult.

This back-and-forth defines the matchup. In the early game, Spirit Breaker can often find Snapfire isolated and score a kill before she has levels or help. As teams begin to group for objectives, the advantage can swing towards Snapfire. She can now use her defensive spells to save allies from a charge, and her Mortimer Kisses ultimate creates a huge area of denial that makes it very risky for Spirit Breaker to run into the middle of a fight. Success for either hero depends on their timing and who has backup nearby.
