Snapfire vs Sven

How this matchup plays

Relying on Firesnap Cookie to save a teammate from Sven can be a trap. While the forced movement is a decent disengage tool against many melee heroes, it often isn't enough against him. Sven's goal is to close the gap with a Blink Dagger and Storm Hammer, then burst a target down during that stun. If Snapfire isn't positioned perfectly, she can't react in time. Likewise, Lil' Shredder's attack slow is annoying for Sven, but it doesn't stop the initial deletion that happens under God's Strength. Snapfire has the tools to make his life difficult, but he has the tools to ignore them if he gets a clean initiation.

The matchup becomes a game of positioning and vision. A good Sven will wait for Snapfire to show herself or use a key spell before he commits. A good Snapfire will stay far back, using Mortimer Kisses to soften targets from a safe distance, forcing Sven’s team to engage into her setup. If Sven gets a Black King Bar, he can run straight through Snapfire's control for its duration, turning her into an easy target. It really comes down to which hero gets to dictate the terms of the fight, and that can change moment to moment.
