Snapfire vs Ursa

How this matchup plays

Fighting into a Snapfire makes it difficult for Ursa to stick to his primary target. He needs to build up Fury Swipes stacks quickly, but Lil' Shredder directly reduces his attack speed, slowing down his damage ramp. Even if Ursa manages to jump on someone with Earthshock, a well-timed Firesnap Cookie from Snapfire can force him away or propel his target to safety, resetting the chase. This constant kiting and disruption prevent him from snowballing in teamfights the way he wants to, forcing him to disengage or switch targets when all he wants to do is stay on one hero and finish them off.

The matchup often comes down to initiation. An Ursa who can find a pickoff with a Blink Dagger before Snapfire can react will usually secure the kill, especially if he targets her first. Her low mobility and health pool make her vulnerable to a surprise burst. However, in a full five-on-five fight, Snapfire’s team can play around her defensive abilities. A patient Ursa might wait for Firesnap Cookie to be used on someone else before committing with Enrage, while a good Snapfire will try to hold her spells specifically to counter him.
