How this matchup plays

Controlling the map against Viper often proves difficult for his team. The hero wants to group up and methodically take objectives, using heavy slows to catch and kill anyone out of position. Snapfire’s kit is well-suited to disrupt this plan. Firesnap Cookie can save an ally caught by Viper Strike, launching them to safety and effectively resetting the fight. Mortimer Kisses also lets her team defend towers from an extreme distance, making it risky for Viper to convert a successful gank into a structure kill.

This dynamic forces the Viper player to be more deliberate. A committed Viper Strike can be completely negated by a reactive Snapfire, wasting a key cooldown. To win the engagement, Viper's team needs to either burst the target before the Cookie can land or dive past the frontline to kill Snapfire first. For Snapfire, the game becomes about careful positioning and awareness, using her utility to peel for cores and stall pushes. This gives her team a consistent way to disengage, providing a slight but noticeable advantage in fights.
