Spirit Breaker vs Warlock

How this matchup plays

Getting charged from across the map puts constant pressure on Warlock. As a slow hero who relies on careful positioning, Spirit Breaker can close the distance instantly and interrupt critical spells like a channeled Upheaval. Warlock has very little innate mobility to escape a surprise gank, and Spirit Breaker's stuns can prevent him from casting his own defensive spells in time. This forces Warlock to play much more cautiously than he'd like, especially when he's alone trying to secure vision or farm a lane.

The matchup isn't one-sided, though. Warlock’s Chaotic Offering is a powerful answer to Spirit Breaker's aggression. A well-timed Golem drop can stun Spirit Breaker the moment he arrives, turning his initiation into a free kill for Warlock's team. The game becomes about cooldowns and vision control. Spirit Breaker looks for windows where Chaotic Offering is unavailable or tries to bait it out. Warlock, in turn, needs to stay with his team and use wards to see the charge coming, ready to punish the predictable dive with his ultimate.
