Techies vs Tiny

How this matchup plays

Forcing Tiny off his preferred farming paths and gank routes is the core of this matchup. Techies can litter the map with Proximity Mines, making it dangerous for a melee hero to move between lanes or jungle camps. If Tiny does manage to jump in for his Avalanche and Toss combo, he’s often met with a Reactive Tazer that completely shuts down his right-click damage. The threat of a follow-up Blast Off! silence also means Tiny can't reliably finish a kill or escape after committing his spells, leaving him exposed.

The result is a game where Tiny is constantly on the back foot. He either has to risk dying to mines or spend a lot of gold on Sentries and a Gem of True Sight, delaying the items he needs to be a threat. While Tiny tries to group up and force objectives with Tree Grab, Techies excels at defending high ground and towers, drawing the game out. This pressure forces Tiny to either buy a Black King Bar earlier than he wants or avoid fighting Techies altogether, which severely limits his impact.
