How this matchup plays

Controlling the early map is often difficult for Tidehunter in this matchup because Undying is built to disrupt his game plan. The constant Decay spam in lane directly counters Tidehunter's strength-based tankiness, making him surprisingly fragile and easier to push out. This pressure often carries into the first teamfights, where a single Tombstone can completely derail a fight. Tidehunter has no efficient way to clear the zombies, and the swarm of bodies can make it impossible to land a clean Ravage on the right targets.

As a result, Undying can usually dictate the pace, forcing fights and taking objectives while Tidehunter is still trying to farm his Blink Dagger.
