Tiny vs Warlock

How this matchup plays

Trying to use Avalanche and Toss on a target under Fatal Bonds is a nightmare. All of Tiny's area-of-effect burst damage gets copied back onto his own team if they are also linked and nearby, turning his own initiation into a liability. Outside of that direct punishment, Warlock’s Upheaval is devastating for a melee hero like Tiny. After he blinks in for a kill, getting stuck in that massive slow makes it impossible to chase, secure the kill, or retreat, leaving him completely exposed.

This dynamic makes teamfights extremely difficult for Tiny from the mid-game on. His whole game plan is to find an opening and jump, but Chaotic Offering is a perfect counter-initiation that can stop him in his tracks. For Tiny to have an impact, he’s forced to play scared, hoping Warlock uses his ultimate on someone else first. Warlock, meanwhile, can play a patient, reactive game, knowing that Tiny's aggression can be easily turned against him. He simply has to hold his spells and wait for the rocks to start flying.
