Undying vs Vengeful Spirit

How this matchup plays

Controlling the pace of teamfights often decides which of these heroes gets ahead. Undying wants to dictate the engagement with Tombstone, creating a huge zone of control that forces enemies to either flee or commit to killing the monolith. Vengeful Spirit has the perfect tool to disrupt this plan. A well-timed Nether Swap can pull a key teammate out from under a swarm of zombies, completely negating Undying's pressure. Wave of Terror also makes it easier for her team to focus fire down the Tombstone or a tanky Flesh Golem.

This dynamic makes for a volatile matchup from the start. A successful gank by Vengeful Spirit can shut down Undying's early momentum, but if Undying gets to bully the lane with Decay spam, he can snowball before Venge has the levels or items to save anyone. Later on, everything hinges on execution. A fight can be won or lost based on whether Undying can get a clean Tombstone down before Vengeful Spirit can react with a game-saving swap. Each hero has a clear way to dismantle the other's strategy.
