Undying vs Warlock

How this matchup plays

Laning against Undying puts Warlock on the back foot from the start. Constant Decay spam saps the strength from Warlock and his lane partner, making them easier to kill and weakening their own return damage. This forces Warlock to use Shadow Word defensively, draining his mana pool that would otherwise be used for trading or setting up kills. The sustained pressure often leaves Warlock unable to establish the lane control he needs to get his own game going, creating an early resource deficit that can be difficult to recover from.

This pressure continues into the mid-game, where Undying's Tombstone demands an immediate answer. While a well-placed Fatal Bonds can punish the zombie swarm, Warlock often finds himself overwhelmed and focused down before he can cast it and his Chaotic Offering. The fight becomes a race: Undying tries to overrun Warlock's team before the big spells come out, while Warlock has to position perfectly and survive the initial chaos to have a chance to turn the fight. It’s a narrow path to victory for Warlock, giving Undying a consistent, if not overwhelming, advantage.
