Ursa vs Vengeful Spirit

How this matchup plays

Trying to pin down a target as Ursa becomes a nightmare when Vengeful Spirit is on the other team. Ursa relies on closing the gap and staying on his prey to build Fury Swipes. Nether Swap completely breaks this plan by instantly moving Ursa away from his victim, often leaving him isolated in the middle of the enemy team. This forces Ursa to waste the duration of his Enrage and Overpower, turning a clean kill attempt into a dangerous overextension. A well-timed stun from Magic Missile can also interrupt his burst, giving his target a window to escape.

This dynamic makes ganking and teamfighting incredibly awkward for the Ursa player all game. Vengeful Spirit will often position herself specifically to save whoever Ursa tries to jump. Ursa is then forced into a bad choice: either try to kill Vengeful Spirit first and deal with her post-death illusion, or risk having every single initiation attempt completely nullified by a last-second Swap. This constant threat forces Ursa to play much more cautiously, delaying his key timings and reducing his overall map pressure.
