Trying to land a big Chaotic Offering on multiple heroes is how Warlock wins fights, but Vengeful Spirit is uniquely equipped to disrupt that plan. Nether Swap is a direct answer, letting Vengeful Spirit instantly reposition Warlock before he can cast his ultimate or save a key ally caught in the impact. A well-timed swap completely neutralizes Warlock's biggest contribution. Beyond that, Magic Missile provides a reliable, instant stun to cancel Upheaval, preventing the massive area slow from taking hold. These tools give Vengeful Spirit a consistent way to undermine Warlock's teamfight control.

This advantage isn't absolute, though, and often comes down to positioning and vision.
