Assuming Viper’s poison will shut down an elusive hero often leads to a rude awakening. While Viper brings a lot of sustained damage and slows, Weaver’s kit has the perfect answer. Time Lapse can completely undo the damage from Nethertoxin and Viper Strike, effectively resetting the engagement so long as he isn't silenced. Weaver can also use Shukuchi to break line of sight and reposition, making it difficult for Viper to stick to him. Viper’s damage is gradual, which gives Weaver a wide window to react and escape what should be a lethal situation.

The dynamic is a game of cat and mouse where neither has a clear upper hand. In lane, Viper's constant pressure can make things difficult, but Weaver is focused on survival, not winning the lane outright. Later on, the outcome of their duels depends on what else is happening. If Viper’s team can provide lockdown, Weaver is an easy kill. Conversely, if Weaver has allies that can help him kite and burst, Viper can be overwhelmed before his damage-over-time has a real impact. It becomes a question of which team better executes their strategy around their respective hero.
