Underlord + Faceless Void

Why this works

Setting up inside a Chronosphere is where you see the basic interaction. Underlord can drop Firestorm and Pit of Malice on targets Faceless Void has caught, which adds damage and control. This sounds fine on paper, but the root from Pit of Malice is often redundant on heroes already frozen in time. The damage from Firestorm is helpful, but it’s spread over time and isn't the kind of immediate burst that makes the most of Void’s lockdown. Atrophy Aura helps the whole team be a bit tougher, but it doesn't create a specific combo.

Across a match, these two heroes can feel disconnected. Faceless Void wants to find his own farm and hit his item timings, while Underlord is often looking to group up and pressure objectives with the team. When it's time to fight, Underlord makes a decent front line and his spells can be a nuisance. However, the pairing doesn't offer the kind of long-range initiation or powerful save that can make or break a carry's game. It’s a functional duo, but it doesn't create plays that another offlaner couldn't also manage.
