Underlord + Keeper of the Light

Why this works

Holding a lane together can be comfortable for this pair. Keeper of the Light provides Underlord with a steady stream of mana from Chakra Magic, allowing him to spam Firestorm and control the lane with near-constant pressure. This creates a lot of space and makes it difficult for enemies to contest last hits. The problem is that both heroes are defined by their ability to shove waves. While this is great for map control, they often end up competing for the same farm, which can slow down the item progression of one or both heroes.

As the game progresses, Underlord provides a solid frontline that Keeper of the Light desperately needs to channel his spells safely. In theory, a well-placed Pit of Malice can set up a devastating Illuminate. In practice, however, a stray Blinding Light can easily knock enemies out of Underlord’s Pit, completely wasting the setup. Their combined teamfight impact relies heavily on coordination, and without it, their spells can feel redundant or even work against each other.
