Underlord + Queen of Pain

Why this works

Setting up a teamfight with this pair can feel a little disconnected. Underlord excels at creating a large, chaotic area with Firestorm and Pit of Malice, wanting enemies to be stuck fighting inside it for a long time. Queen of Pain, on the other hand, wants to find a specific target, unload her spells for a quick kill, and then use Blink to get to safety or find her next victim. While Pit of Malice can hold someone down for her, she generally prefers to play on the edges of the fight, not brawl in the middle where Underlord is strongest.

This disconnect continues across the map. A major strength of Underlord is using Fiend's Gate to bring slow, immobile heroes into a gank or teamfight. Queen of Pain doesn't need this service; she's already incredibly mobile on her own. She can get where she wants to go without his help. They end up playing separate games, with Underlord controlling one area and Queen of Pain hunting in another. The two heroes don't really amplify what the other wants to do, leading to a lineup that feels less cohesive than it might look on paper.
